Complete was requested to review the issues associated with the installation of railings at a condominium complex located in Ft Walton Beach Fl. A person had been injured after falling from the second floor of the complex and had alleged construction defect associated with these very old railings. Careful attention was given to the installation of the railings and compared with the building code requirements at the time of installation.
We researched the old Southern Building Code that was in place at the time these buildings were built which is much different than today. Based on these comparisons we were able to provide counsel with information to settle the loss in a way that was satisfactory to all.
